What a pleasure to be chatting about quilting in Canada! Thank you Stacie for having me be a guest here.
Quilting is literally a way of life for me, along with my husband, two sons and standard poodle.
I moved to Manitoulin Island when I got married and started quilting as a hobby to take up time after leaving the city and moving to the country. Little did I know I would see more cities across Canada than I ever could imagine once I started quilting.
I love modern quilting and also creating my own patterns. I have a themed series called ‘Meet Maud’ of a sweet little girl usually found in a pink polka dot dress. She is a country girl living on a farm, named after my grandmother and her story.
I designed the patterns for the 52 Blocks in 52 Weeks Quilt Along that just finished in January.
I love free motion and matchstick quilting and do all of it on my domestic machine. The thrill coming me when I get a piece entered in a juried show!
I have been fortunate to get my quilts published in several books and magazines.
When I am not quilting, I am a social media manager and enjoy the engagement and camaraderie of quilters across the globe.
Thank you for letting me share my story.
